Blue White Golden Geometry Curtain – Light-dimming velvet

A curtain is ideal as a room divider or door curtain. It creates a visual separation and provides more privacy without the need for structural modifications. At the same time, it offers protection against draughts and unwanted light, while its sound-absorbing effect creates a quieter atmosphere.

Our curtains are always 130 cm wide and can generally be used for windows up to 130 cm wide. However, if you want to hang the curtains with pleats, we recommend allowing a 20% buffer. In that case, a single curtain will cover windows up to 105 cm wide. If that's not enough, you can easily use multiple curtain panels.

The darkening velvet curtain has a neutral fine fleece backing that completely prevents the motif from showing through and ensures optimum darkening. In contrast, the light-absorbing velvet has a smooth, neutral reverse side that allows the motif to show through slightly. Our soundproof curtains have a neutral white reverse side. This additional layer of fabric enhances the acoustic effect and darkens the room.

Curtains with a dark motif offer a greater darkening effect than those with lighter motifs. Dark colours absorb more light, which means that less light penetrates the fabric. Light-coloured motifs, on the other hand, tend to let more light through, which means that the darkening effect is slightly less.

The curtains can be washed at 30 degrees and ironed at a low temperature. It is best to hang the curtains slightly damp, as the fabric does not crease easily on its own and therefore does not require intensive ironing. For optimum results, we recommend washing the curtains separately.

The curtain is equipped with a universal pleating tape that offers versatile hanging options. You can attach the curtain directly to a curtain rail using the large loops or use the numerous small loops to attach hooks and gliders. The flexible tape also makes it easy to integrate the curtain into a sliding curtain system.

Soundproof curtains significantly reduce noise in the mid and high frequency ranges. The noise of cars, conversations between several people or children playing is absorbed by the fabric. This reduces reverberation and improves room acoustics. A curtain cannot completely suppress noise – soundproof windows and doors are also required for this.

Noise-reducing:

Velvet curtains have good sound absorption properties and can help improve the acoustics in a room. Soundproof curtains are made from specially developed fabrics. These can absorb noise, reduce reverberation and thus have a noticeable positive effect on room acoustics.

Darkening:

Darkening curtains are particularly useful in bedrooms to create a darker environment for restful sleep. Our velvet and soundproof curtains darken rooms by between 70-99% depending on the brightness of the motif. Dark motifs have a higher degree of darkening.

Thermoactive:

In principle, curtains made of heavy fabrics are suitable as thermal curtains and help to insulate against heat and cold. Both our heavy velvet curtain and our soundproof curtain meet this criterion.The weight of the curtain helps to reduce the penetration of cold air in winter and warm air in summer. By blocking air currents, the curtain can help to maintain the temperature in a room.
